My Story
I created The Imaginary Ermine in 2023 as a label for my handmade jewelry. But as I thought more about what I wanted to create and share, I realized I couldn't narrow it down to any small niche. My spectrum of interests is quite vast and varied. So what if that became the "theme"? Am I interested in it? Then that's what I'll design and feature. Current subjects range from platypuses to genealogy to that obscure movie quote from the 80s to my nature photography. All I can promise is that everything is made with deep interest and passion.
So who is The Imaginary Ermine? Long ago, I started writing a comic book featuring a The Great White Weasel (or ermine, if you will) that develops super powers after a getting hit by toxic donut glaze. There are a few sketches and half a theme song that survive. That project was weird, whimsical, and fleeting. So now I imagine that mysterious, rare creature as the curator of my collection of special interests. If you like what you see here, maybe we're rare creatures together?
